Using a Database of Paper Stocks to Find Full-Mutual Funds
Using a Database of Paper Stocks to Find Full-Mutual FundsIn this short article, I'll describe how to search for more paper during the NextGen search. Also, I'll explain how to use a database of paper stocks to determine the level of opportunity. The NextGen (Next Gen) search is set up by Goldman Sachs and is a great way to find mutual funds. It's quite simple to use, and it gets to the main question of how to search for more paper.First, you will go to the Full Mutual Fund page on Goldman Sachs' website. You will click on 'Search', and you should see a link that says 'You are on the Page You want.' Click that link, and you should see a dialog box appear. On the 'Select Component' option, select 'Yahoo!' or 'Google!' from the drop-down list. Then enter your search, which should include the phrase, 'Full Mutual Funds' in the search box.Once you have entered the phrase into the box, you will have the chance to select 'Baskets' as the fund type. This should bring up many companies that ar e Baskets. You can also use the following syntax: 'Baskets'. The dialog box will still allow you to specify fund type.If you do not see any Baskets listed, then you need to try another level of fund. If you are looking for paper, then go down to the bottom of the page and click on 'Page Low, Medium, High Paper Style', then select 'Medium'. On the 'Index Options' menu, select 'MSFT.' Then click on 'Go.'Now when you click on 'Go', you should get back an answer to your query: 'The Full Mutual Fund you selected is listed here. It currently has an overall average market cap of ~$ thousand dollars.'So you can now start searching for a full mutual fund using Yahoo! or Google!
